to common questions.
Here are a few things people often want to know before sharing a ride.
How do we find people going the same way?+
We compare where people are leaving from, where they are going and when they want to travel. When the route and time are close enough, we can show them to each other. A match is a useful suggestion, not a confirmed ride.
Can I request a ride for more than one person?+
Not yet. One ride request is for one person. This helps us know who is travelling and keeps identity, safety and booking details clear for everyone.
Why can a driver only add two trips in one day?+
Two trips usually cover the journey out and the journey home. This keeps the service focused on people sharing travel they were already planning, instead of running a transport business through the app.
When is a ride actually booked?+
Finding someone going your way does not book a seat. The rider sends an offer, the driver accepts it and the required payment is confirmed in the app. Until those steps are complete, both people should keep their plans flexible.
Who pays, and when?+
The rider pays the agreed contribution in the app after the driver accepts the offer. The app shows the amount and payment status clearly. Do not send money directly to someone just because you found them through a search.
When does the driver get paid?+
A driver becomes eligible for payment after the trip and pickup have been properly recorded. Payment may be held while a trip is still being checked or a problem is being reviewed, and the app will show the current status.
What happens if the driver cancels?+
The rider is told as soon as possible and any payment that should be returned enters the refund process. The app will show the refund status. Repeated or late cancellations can also affect a driver's reliability record.
What if I need to cancel at the last minute?+
Cancel in the app as soon as you know. The amount returned can depend on how close the trip is and what has already happened. A late cancellation or no-show may mean that part of the contribution is not returned.
How do we check drivers and passengers?+
We collect identity details for both. Drivers also add their licence and car details before they can accept a passenger. Verification is shown clearly so you can make a more informed choice about who you travel with.
What should I do if I feel unsafe?+
Do not continue with a trip that feels wrong. Use the app to report a concern, contact someone you trust and, if you are in immediate danger, call 112 or your local emergency service.
