Your phone number, email address and exact home address are not shown while people search. Share only what is needed for the trip, and choose a nearby public place when that feels more comfortable.
Check the person, route, time, pickup place and contribution before saying yes. Keeping the important details together in the app makes it easier for both people to understand what they have agreed to.
There are checks in place to help the right driver and passenger recognise each other at pickup. Compare the person and car with the details in the app before getting in, and step away if something does not look right.
Add an emergency contact before an active trip. If you ask for emergency help, we can use those details to alert the person you trust and give them the information they need to try to reach you.
You can report a concern about a trip or another person. Reports help us review what happened, hold important actions such as payment where needed, and take repeated unsafe or unreliable behaviour seriously.
Shared rides are people helping people, and plans can sometimes change. They are useful for making everyday travel easier, but if you must arrive at an exact time, keep another way to travel available just in case.
